I'm Molly Hahn, and I will be your guiding teacher on this creative journey.
What is Mindful Doodling?
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment by connecting to our senses. This course blends mindfulness with creativity, using doodling as a meditative practice to promote well-being, reduce stress and anxiety, and cultivate a daily creative habit.
Some lessons will be simple and abstract, while others will introduce you to the beautiful world of colors. You'll also learn beginner-friendly drawing techniques to create your very own characters!
Do I Need Drawing Experience?
I often get asked:
"I don't know how to draw. Can I still take this course?"
The answer is a resounding YES!
This course is designed specifically for people with little to no drawing experience. Most students begin with zero experience and finish with newfound confidence and a creative daily practice that takes just a few minutes a day.
What This Course Is (and Isn't)
This is not a traditional art class. It's not about perfect technique or creating a masterpiece. Instead, this is a mindful doodling journey—a way to:
- Explore your inner artist
- Use art to process emotions
- Create from a place of compassion
Course Materials & Structure
Most of the supplies you'll need are simple and accessible, with the exception of watercolor crayons and mixed media paper.
Each video lesson is 10–20 minutes long. Some lessons may take longer, but that’s okay—you have lifetime access, so there’s no rush and no falling behind.
Why I Believe in Mindful Doodling
Art has played an essential role in my own healing journey. When you feel stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, returning to mindful doodling is a powerful way to practice self-care and process emotions.
Throughout my career, I’ve created books, illustrations, and cartoons that reflect where I was in my healing process. I truly believe in the power of creative expression—and I’m honored to share these tools with you.
Even when life feels heavy, art provides a container for your emotions. You can transmute that energy into something beautiful and meaningful.
